The Tar Heels will have some familiar faces behind their bench for the 2006-07 season.
Dan London will once again lead the Tar Heels as head coach for the 2006-07 season. This year marks London's seventh season as a coach at the University of North Carolina. London previously served as head coach from 1999-2001 before taking the 2001-02 season off. London returned as an assistant for the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons, before once again taking over the head coaching position during the 2004-05 season.
Assistant coach Marc Curry will return to the Tar Heels for the 2006-07 season after a one-year absence and brings over 40 years of hockey experience with him. Curry has previously served the Tar Heels as head coach during the 2002-03 and 2003-04 seasons, and as an assistant during the 2004-05 campaign.
Former player Kevin Hill makes his collegiate coaching debut behind the Tar Heels' bench this season. A 2006 graduate of the University of North Carolina, Hill played four seasons in a Tar Heels' uniform, serving as team captain in 2005-06. Hill amassed a team-second 31 points and a team-leading 15 assists during the 2005-06 regular season.
