Joel Fitz was a key part of the 2006-07 UMSL B Division squad, the most successful B team in club history by far. Fitz, 27, was the oldest player on the team, and was also arguably the team's most consistent and valuable player. Fitz has good size and speed, and plays a fearless, confident game. He has excellent scoring touch, finishing '06-07 as the team's top power-play goalscorer.
Joel finished second on the B team scoring last season, including a three-goal, two-assist first period in the UMSL B squad's eventual 7-2 win over Lindenwood Black. He finished the season as the third UMSL B player ever to post 15 goals and 30 points in a season (Tony Schmitt -- twice -- and Alex Nebrig are the others). |
