Gary Ehrman came to Shippensburg and his
presence made an immediate difference. In his first season, the Raiders
advanced to the national championship tournament, but because of a devastating knee
injury, Gary didn�t make the trip. After a second season, Gary�s numbers
continued to remain constant, and his performance reached a new high, but once
again, Gary was one step short of nationals as the Raiders failed to qualify.
After posting his 3rd consecutive 18-point season Gary finally had
something to celebrate as the Raiders qualified for the national championship
tournament.
Feb. 6, 2005: Gary scored two goals and had an assist, including the game winner againt the #2 ranked Maine Black Bears in a 5-4 victory. Dec. 3, 2005: Gary scored the game-tying and game-winning
goals to start the third period in a 7-5 victory over #24 Temple, the win
turned the season around for the Raider as they had lost five out of the
previous seven games
